BG Levels and Meals of a Typical Day

Normally, I test my blood glucose when I wake up (fasting level), in the afternoon before or after a snack, if I ever feel low = weak and lightheaded I'll test, and before I go to bed. I take 32u Lantus (insulin) in the morning before breakfast.

I want to share what a typical day is like for me. I'll test my BG more throughout the day as well as how it is affected by what I eat. I'll post pics and descriptions of what I eat. This should be a good learning experience for me.

Ready? Here's for Friday May 17....

7:00am - walking/jogging on the beach. no food.
7:56am - 86mg/dL

Breakfast: 2 egg whites omelet
                slice of tomato
                handful of bean sprouts
                3 strips turkey bacon
half of a toasted english muffin with strawberry spread
10:04am - 124mg/dL

12:34pm - 52mg/dL -- I forgot about eating lunch (happens often haha)
Lunch: 6oz. orange juice
           1 apple
2 low carb smart tortillas filled with:
spinach, avocado, chickpea, chicken breast, pepper jack cheese
I know, only 1 wrap is pictured here but it was so good (and super low carb) I grabbed another!
2:06pm - 95mg/dL
5:00pm - Snack: half of a coconut popsicle

Dinner: large bowl of chicken stir fry

Went to a movie (Ironman 3) oh yeah!
Ate some popcorn

10:29pm - 132mg/dL

Notes for the day: I haven't felt groggy or grumpy (that's honestly how I feel if I don't get enough to eat or if I eat too much or if I don't eat the right things. exercising helps with the mood throughout the day as well.) I have had lots of energy and was able to get a lot accomplished. Also felt like I left enough room for some popcorn at the movie. I feel like it was a good day!
